I am an EMDR consultant in training and am completing a certificate in clinical supervision at Metanoia, London.
EMDR Supervision
I offer individual and group EMDR supervision.
If you are part way through or have recently completed your basic EMDR training, my supervision groups offer a safe place to clarify and consolidate your learning, build confidence and integrate EMDR into your established way of working with clients.
I offer blocks of 6 sessions for 4-6 participants. Each group is closed as this allows familiarity and connection to grow which I find really helps people to feel safe to learn. Sessions vary in length between 1.5-2 hours depending on the number of participants.
I also offer individual and group sessions for more experienced EMDR therapists but I cannot, as yet, offer supervision if you are working towards accreditation.
IFS Informed Supervision (IFSiEMDR)
As an EMDR Insight facilitator and certified Syzygy Institute therapist and facilitator, I am experienced in supporting therapists who are just learning and therapists who are deepening their practice of using these two models in an integrated way.
I offer both individual and group IFSiEMDR supervision.
The groups are closed and you sign up for a block of sessions. A typical session will include an arriving meditation and check in with parts, time for practice and feedback and some time for general questions and answers. In each block of sessions, you will have the opportunity to ‘take centre stage’ for one session and choose how you would like to use the time. You may want to practice a particular protocol as therapist, you may want to bring a particular client and work with your own parts in relation to that client, you may want to experience a particular protocol in the role of client so you have that ‘inside out’ knowing of how it feels. Your colleagues within the group will support your choice by stepping into the other roles of therapist, client or observer as needed. Each role offering a different embodied experience of the model and an opportunity for all within the group to deepen understanding of both the model and your own system and parts. All of which help to build confidence and enjoyment of supporting your clients in this beautiful and powerful way.
Again, length of session and cost depends on the number of participants but generally varies between 2-4 people and 1.5-2 hours.
Clinical Supervision
I have been working with parts or ego states since I did my original MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy using the creative arts back in 2007 and I am IFS Level 2 trained. So my more general supervision is integrative, relational and IFS informed and I’m very comfortable with and excited by all forms of creative externalisation.
(I have not yet completed my IFS consultancy so I cannot offer IFS supervision if you want to count the hours towards your own IFS certification).
If you would like to know more about any of my groups or would like to book an individual supervision session, please contact me on 07941 279177 or email me here.
